Nokia Asha 306 7.42 SW release

A quick “heads up” for the Nokia Asha 306 (RM-767 & RM-768) 7.42 SW update that was published some time ago. This is a major update and available for most users both via FOTA and Nokia Suite. Key changes compared to previous 5.93 SW update include:

• Phone software stability improvements
• Whatsapp launcher added
• Updated versions of Xpress Browser, Nokia Store,  News and Offers and Notifications applications
• Updated versions of Chat and Email applications (1)
• New eBuddy launcher, Twitter & Facebook applications added (2)
• General performance & usability improvements

(1) available if phone is updated with Nokia Suite.
(2) available if phone is updated with Nokia Suite. Can be also manually downloaded from Nokia Store (http://store.nokia.com) after the update.

Note: If you are using Nokia Suite, make sure you update the Nokia Suite client to the latest 3.8 version first: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/nokia-suite

Nokia Asha 305 7.42 SW release

A quick “heads up” for the Nokia Asha 305 (RM-766) 7.42 SW update that was published some time ago. This is a minor update and available for most users both via FOTA and Nokia Suite. Key changes compared to previous 7.35 SW update include:

• WhatsApp launcher added.
• Updated version of Notifications application.

A quick “heads up” for the Nokia 110 (RM-827), Nokia 111 (RM-810 & RM-811) and Nokia 113/114 (RM-871) 3.47 SW update which started rolling out a couple of weeks back. It is a major release and should be available to most countries/regions via FOTA. These phone models do not support SW updates via Nokia Suite. Nokia 206 and Nokia 206 Dual SIM 4.51 SW release

A quick “heads up” for the Nokia 206 (RM-873) and Nokia 206 Dual SIM (RM-872) 4.51 SW update which started rolling out at the end of last week. This is a major release and should be available to most countries/regions via FOTA. These phone models do not support SW updates via Nokia Suite. • Improved phone call quality.
• Improvements for self-portrait voice guidance.

• General performance & usability improvements.

Nokia Asha 308 and Asha 309 7.55 SW release

“Heads up” for the recently published Asha 308 (RM-838 & RM-852) and Asha 309 (RM-843 & 844): v.7.55 SW update. This is a major release and currently already available for most countries/regions via FOTA. The update is however currently temporarily unavailable via Nokia Suite.

Key changes compared to previous 5.80/5.85 SW versions include:

• Improvements to call quality, phone memory management and video playback performance
• Manual display brightness control added
• Updated versions of Nokia Xpress browser, Maps, Chat, Twitter and Mail applications
• eBuddy, Nokia Nearby, Notifications and Internet Telephone (Nokia VoIP) applications added
• General performance & usability improvements

Nokia C2-02/C2-07 7.66 SW release

“Heads up” for the recently published Nokia C2-02/C2-07 (RM-692 / RM-693) SW update. This is a minor update – and already available for most countries/regions both via FOTA and Nokia Suite.

Key changes compared to previous 7.63/7.64 SW version include:

• Fix for call logs being deleted when the device is restarted.

Nokia Asha 205 and Asha 205 Dual SIM 3.19 SW release

Nokia is currently rolling out a new SW 3.19 update for Asha 205 (RM-863 & RM-864) and Asha 205 Dual SIM (RM-862). This is a global release and already available for most countries/regions via FOTA.

Key changes compared to previous 3.18 SW version:

• Fix for displaying contact name in phone calls and SMS inbox
• Performance and usability improvements

It is worth noticing that these device models don’t have a USB-connector, so FOTA is the only available update method for end-users.

“Heads up” for the recently published Asha 306 (RM-767 / RM-768) SW update. This is a major release, with a lot of fixes and improvement included, but it is currently mostly only available to Middle East, Africa, South East Asia & Pacific regions (including India).
